Abstract

We report the first case of an abnormality known as emaciation for D. luddeckei in the municipality of Villa de Leyva, Boyacá. The specimen was recorded by a visual encounter on emergent aquatic vegetation in an artificial body of water in the vereda El Roble during night sampling. The lack of comprehension of the triggers of this abnormality in the reported species, suggests a novel research field for the conservation of this amphibian in Colombia.
