Abstract

In December 2019, an illness emerged in China and threatened the rest of the world due to a serious health situation. On January 7, 2020, China confirmed the virus as: coronavirus, initially named 2019-nCoV by the WHO. The first reports showed the damage that it began to cause in Wuhan, the capital of central Hubei province, in China. Governments worldwide are beginning to create strategies to protect the community, including forcing people to stay safe and suspend activities that they consider "nonessential." Under this situation, the economic impact was not alien to Mexican tourism.
